The Luton van, or Box van, is a practically-shaped vehicle that offers loads of space. Thanks to the shape it's more practical to stack pallets, boxes, furniture, etc, than in a regular cargo van. It's the go to vehicle for moving and transporting large amounts of goods.
This 7.5 ton version is actually considered a truck.
It depends on where you're from and when you've passed your driver'sr test.
In Europe everything's complicated. You'll need to have what's called a C1 entitlement to drive vehicles from 3.5 to 7.5 tonnes. If you've passed your driver's test before 1997 you get the C1 entitlement as a bonus, on top of your regular B driver's license. So congratulations and enjoy dragging this baby through the Drive.
This is only the case if you use the lorry for non-commercial purposes, such as moving. Or if you're in the military, or a firefighter. Otherwise you must pass the Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) every five years. Sigh, the rules!
If you've taken your test after 1 January 1997, you'll need to get a separate C1 license.
The U.S. is a bit easier. Most likely you won't need any additional licenses to drive this truck.
It depends on the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rate - simply meaning the total weight) of the van. In most states, you only need to get a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to operate this vehicle if it's above 26.000lbs (11.800kg). Which it's not, it's just 16.000lbs (7.500kg).
